ADVANCE INFORMATION OF AIXM CODING CHANGE OF AIRSPACES IN EAD

1 Introduction

The purpose of this publication is to provide information about coding change on aeronautical data of Finland in EAD. There are no changes to information published in AIP and there is no effect on the operative use of the airspace.

2 Effective date of change

Change is carried out with AMDT WEF 02 OCT 2025.

3 Details of the change

AIXM coding of Finnish FIZ, RMZ, FBZ and Local TRA airspaces will be improved WEF 02 OCT 2025. New coding follows AIXM 5.1 coding guidance and improves compatibility towards AIXM 5.2.

Current AIXM attribute type RAS of FIZ, RMZ and FBZ airspaces are replaced with more precise OTHER:FIZ, OTHER:RMZ and OTHER:FBZ codes. LocalType text will be empty.

Local TRA type remains RAS and localType text is amended to read LOCAL TRA.
